FAQs
What are the behavior requirements for The Bark Club?
We do ask that pups are crate-trained before coming to play with us. We consider crate-trained as calm in the kennel and willing to go into the kennel, without excessive barking or whining. Daycare is not a setting to tackle serious behavior concerns like aggression, resource guarding, or separation anxiety. If you are experiencing any of these concerns, feel free to reach out for training or training recommendations.
Will dogs be crated while at The Bark Club?
Appropriate rest time is an important aspect of our daycare program, and when dogs aren't outside for their socials and enrichment, they are set up for nap time where we dim the lights and allow them the opportunity to rest deeply.
Do dogs need to be potty trained to join The Bark Club?
We do ask that your pup is potty trained before joining The Bark Club.
What vaccinations are required to join The Bark Club?
While attending any of the programs here at Cultivated Canine, we ask that you provide proof of the following vaccinations from a licensed veterinarian:
- Rabies - 1 Year or 3 Year (Injected)
-
Bordetella - 6 Month (Intranasal) or 1 Year (Injected)
-
Parvovirus & Distemper (DHPP) - 1 Year or 3 Year (Injected)
-
Negative Fecal Exam, if possible
Why might my dog be leashed during play time?
During their Temperament Test, a dog might be kept on leash as a precaution until we get to know them, and they get to know us. The leash is held by a staff member while that staff member shadows the dog, to ensure they are interacting with us and other dogs appropriately and if they are not, we can easily guide them away using the leash. These leashed dogs are closely monitored, and leashes are never worn in crates.
For the safety and happiness of everyone, pup and hooman, we ask that all dogs in The Bark Club be spayed or neutered.
