What is a Tracking K9?
Tracking K9s help in the search for missing persons and missing pets.
How do Tracking K9s find missing persons or missing pets?
Tracking K9s follow a specific odor from a missing person/pet in the air or on the ground starting at the “point of loss.” They will identify the direction of travel and the area in which the missing person/pet has been, and can even determine if the missing person/pet was removed from the area.

It is best to track sooner rather than later; however, tracking pets is best after 48 hours, as they may find their way home. We personally don’t go on tracks that are more than two weeks old to make sure we are making the most of your ground time.
There is, of course, no guarantee that we will find your pet on the track, but we will give you a perimeter to work with on locating your pet.
What do we need in order to track?
In order for us to run a track on your pet, we utilize scent articles. This can be your pet's:
- bed,
- blanket,
- collar,
- harness,
- brush with their, or
- kennel.
If you have a multi-pet household, the articles will still work if the other pets didn't leave the yard.
*We ask that Owners be present on all tracks!

Things to keep in mind...
- We don’t tend to come across your pet on a track due to animals constantly moving out of survival and being in flight mode. It is always possible that your pet may have found a place to hunker down, so there is the possibility of coming across their hiding spot.
- If we happen upon your pet during the track, remember to stay calm. Get low, stay calm and quiet. Allow your pet to recognize a familiar scent and for them to approach on their own.
- Since there are lots of moving parts when it comes to finding a pet, we cannot guarantee the outcome of a track.

Initial Phone Consultation
ALWAYS FREE!
Brittany will call to chat with you for no more than about 15 minutes, allowing her to gather any necessary information about the loss of your pet to determine the best plan of action for your situation.
Tracking w/The Sniff Squad
Services included with The Squad's track:
- Missing pet flyer made by us for you to post in your area,
- Use of tracking dog to identify the direction of travel, the area your pet has been moving around in or where your pet has been removed from,
- “The Squad’s Plan of Action” with steps to bring your pet home delivered to you within one (1) day of track,
- Phone support until a resolution, hopefully a capture, is found.

Mileage Reimbursement
$1/mile
Mileage reimbursement fees are to be paid prior to the track with the initial cost of the track. The mileage is round trip, to and from your location for mileage greater than the initial 40 miles included with the Track.
Lodging Reimbursement
$100/night
Hotel expenses that may be incurred when The Squad has to travel over three (3) hours from home.
