We are excited to welcome our newest trainer here at Cultivated Canine, Joshua! He began his pet oriented career in 2020 in the midst of the pandemic when he applied to a large pet retailer who was in need of dog trainers. He had previous interest in the pet industry, after his wife taught him about dog nutrition and animal husbandry, which allowed him the confidence to further his knowledge and experience in his now developing dog training position. 

Joshua began practicing at home with Otis, his bichon/poodle mix rescue, who had previously been abandoned and was in need of some serious training to help overcome his social anxiety and a few disagreeable mannerisms. Joshua moved on to help manage the Board and Train Program at a dog training facility in Houston, which gave him the opportunity to utilize and nourish these new skills with dogs from diverse backgrounds and environments. He took a small break from training while still working with dogs, as a Kennel Tech at What's Up Dog, but he's excited to be back to training and we're excited to have him on our team!
